Commercial/trade waste

Other information and services

Paint for reuse

Leftover water-based paint is accepted for reuse at Kings Road RRC. This leftover paint is also available for residents to take away for free from our sites. You can read more about how and why paint can be reused on our Paint reuse webpage. However we cannot accept solvent-based waste paint, which is classed as hazardous (see 'solvent-based paint' under 'materials not accepted' above).

Charity Waste

Eligible charities can take up to five tonnes of non-hazardous waste/recycling each year, free of charge, to three of our Reuse and Recycling Centres (RRCs): Summers LaneHornsey Street or South Access (in the London boroughs of Barnet, Islington and Waltham Forest respectively). Read more on Taking Charity Waste to North London Reuse and Recycling Centres.

The Reuse Shop

The ReUse shop is located within this site selling a range of items which could include furniture, sports equipment, and other household items. The items for sale have been donated us for reuse by residents or collected from other Reuse and Recycling Centres managed by North London Waste Authority in the area and would have otherwise been thrown away. The RRCs and Reuse Shop are operated by LondonEnergy Ltd.

The shop is open on Wednesday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm.

Donate items to the shop

If you have any items that you plan on taking to your local RRC, consider if they could be used by another individual or whether someone else might be interested in upcycling them into new products. If so and you are visiting the Kings Road RRC, take your item(s) into the shop instead of placing them in one of the recycling containers.

Register, Request, Reuse!

If you’re a local organisation or individual whose operations are based in Barnet, Enfield, Camden, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, or Waltham Forest, we want to hear from you.

Using the easy online form, tell us: who you are; what type of materials/items you’re seeking; the quantity; a bit more about collection logistics; and what you intend to do with the materials.

Please note: this is an interest-gathering exercise, and we cannot guarantee the supply of any items for your project. Please be as specific as you can with what you intend to do with any materials collected.
