Who are Kilburn Repair Club?
Kilburn Repair Club work in the Camden community to offer free fixing workshops and repair events for residents to fix broken electricals. They are driven by making sustainable changes within the community. Not only do you get to fix your items for free, but you also learn valuable repair skills alongside volunteers. It’s also a great way to meet your neighbours and support a culture of repair and reuse!
What is the event?
A Christmas themed textiles upcycling workshop.
Join Kilburn Repair Club at the Somers Town Community Centre for a fun and creative workshop where you'll learn how to transform old textiles into festive Christmas decorations. Get into the holiday spirit by making unique decorations for your home or to give as gifts. No experience necessary! - but if you have material you want to scrap please bring it along, we will also provide materials.
We'll be learning embroidery, sewing machine and hand sewing skills! As well as putting our creativity to the test!
