Hive Studios

Hive Studios is a local collective of artists, curators and other creatives, whose focus is on placemaking and culture in the community. Hive Studios' NLCF project was aimed at connecting the local community with artists and local designers to learn about the fundamentals of sustainable design.

 

Over seven months Hive Studios delivered 15 workshops on repairing, restoring, reusing and sustainable design. 86 people from the local community attended, learning practical tips and new skills in waste minimisation. Two classroom workshops were attended by 25 young people, and a two-week exhibition had 82 attendees in just the first week of operation.
