Bread n Butter

Bread n Butter, a food education organisation that teaches practical cookery skills while tackling health and social inequalities, received funding for its Waste Warriors project to help residents reduce food waste and make better use of available ingredients. Through demonstrations and educational activities delivered at foodbanks across Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, as well as free family workshops in schools, the project provided practical guidance on using unfamiliar foods, reducing household waste and developing cooking skills. Over the course of the project, Bread n Butter engaged 230 foodbank users and more than 40 families through after-school sessions, helping participants build confidence in food preparation and adopt waste prevention practices at home.
