Waltham Forest
A repair café that provides a relaxed and informal setting where people can bring small electrical goods to be repaired, helping to prevent items from going to waste while building practical skills and confidence to carry out repairs at home.
Through its repair clubs and cafés funded by NLWA, Forest Fixers engaged more than 200 residents during 2023–24, with 102 items repaired and kept in use. The project also engaged 16 volunteers, two of whom moved into employment after gaining valuable experience through their involvement. In addition, Forest Fixers strengthened its community network by developing partnerships with two colleges in Barnet and Enfield, creating further opportunities to share repair skills and promote reuse.
If you want to get invovled, you can find the Fixers' details on the Waltham Forest Council website.
