we are currently updating our iso register and environmental policy, and i am wondering if you are able to provide some kind of certificate or documentation providing information on your recycling procedures i.e. what happens to it once it's collected? your help is very much appreciated.

Thank you for your request for information about our recycling processes, received on 21 April 2023. Your request has been allocated the reference number 2023-208 and is being handled under the Environmental Information Regulations (EiR) 2004. Our response is as follows.

You requested any certifications or documentation relating to what happens to recyclable waste once it is collected.

We do not hold any certifications for our recycling processes. Information on our processes is available on our website here. In summary, recyclable waste is taken by our contractor, Biffa Waste Services Ltd, to their Materials Recycling Facility on Advent Way in Edmonton, Enfield. There it is sorted by waste type and each type is sent on to specialist facilities to be further sorted into grades and recycled. The destinations for each type of waste are listed on our website. For example, the destinations for paper are here.

A high-level breakdown of the destinations for recyclable waste from March to December 2022 is shown in the table below.
