Contact lenses

Contact lenses are not easily recycled by but some companies like Vision Direct (opens in a new window) or Terracycle (opens in a new window) provide a simple way for you to recycle your lenses. All contact lenses regardless of the brand can be sent back for recycling. Please never flushed your lenses through the toilet or the drain. The plastic packaging can be recycled in your household recycling collection as well as the cardboard box, but not the foil cover due to its plastic lining. Most lenses are stored in their case which can be reused many times but it's made out of hard plastic can't recycle at home, please place it in your general waste bin.
