NLWA and Acciona have joined forces to develop a series of Community Workshops to provide organisational development training for volunteer, charity and social enterprise organisations in north London. The series is designed to support organisations by enhancing skills and increasing knowledge.
The workshops will address development needs identified through consultations. They are free to attend and will be online during September and November 2024 and in person during October 2024.
What will the workshops cover?
The Community Workshops will support future and existing applicants of the North London Community Fund and RE-Power Communities scheme over the next year.
They will cover organisational development themes that strengthen groups' eligibility for future schemes, and help build more sustainable community organisations for north London.
The workshop topics are:
- Developing and managing people
- Equality, diversity and inclusion
- Project finance and fund raising
- Data protection (GDPR)
- Health and safety
- Social media marketing
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Organisational strategy
- Proposal writing
- Social value
- Effective reporting
Who can sign up?
While the workshops are targeted at volunteer, charity and social enterprise groups, they will be marketed openly to enable smaller grassroots organisations or resident associations to access the training and support.
