North London Community Workshops

NLWA and Acciona joined forces to develop a series of Community Workshops to provide organisational development training for volunteer, charity and social enterprise organisations in north London. The series was designed to support organisations by enhancing skills and increasing knowledge.

The workshops ran from October through to November 2024 with in-person and online sessions. We supported 190 residents across 36 sessions. 

What did the workshops cover?

The Community Workshops intended to support future and existing applicants of the North London Community Fund and RE-Power Communities scheme over the next year. 

The workshop topics were:

  • Developing and managing people
  • Equity, diversity and inclusion
  • Project finance and fund raising
  • Data protection (GDPR)
  • Health and safety
  • Social media marketing
  • Monitoring and evaluation
  • Organisational strategy
  • Proposal writing
  • Social value
  • Effective reporting
