The seventh annual Waste Prevention Exchange by North London Waste Authority was held on the 4 March 2021 and focused on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
The conference, which took place online, featured an expert panel of speakers who looked at the system as a whole and explored how we could collectively influence the second phase of consultation on the EPR scheme for packaging. In addition, the agenda considered the opportunities for extending EPR to other materials in order to realise the wider carbon, sustainability and waste prevention benefits that EPR can provide.
