Waste tonnage projections

We have recently reviewed the waste tonnage projections for north London to ensure that the best information is used for the North London Heat and Power Project. The updated projections take account of the most recent actual waste tonnages which are available in the North London Joint Waste Strategy Annual Monitoring Report.

The Eunomia waste data report and Waste Forecast Model - is a technical report summarising the methodology and results of our most recent waste forecasting modelling to identify future waste management requirements. It includes a technical spreadsheet model.

Waste composition analysis

In 2010 we commissioned some analysis of the waste that is collected by the north London boroughs both directly from households and at household waste recycling centres. The report also included an analysis of samples of the waste collected by the constituent boroughs from local businesses.

North London Joint Waste Strategy

The North London Joint Waste Strategy (NLJWS) provides the strategic framework for municipal waste management in North London for the period 2004 - 2020. You can find out more about the NLJWS by looking at the Authority's strategies.
